In addition to his responsibilities as GSVC's CIO, he serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors, CEO, and President. He is also co-founder, CEO, and co-managing partner of GSV Asset Management.

Recognized as one of the best and brightest investors on Wall Street, his honors include Institutional Investor's "All American" research team, The Wall Street Journal's "Best on the Street" award, and being named by Business Week as "one of the best stock pickers in the country."
He has also written extensively about investing in the emerging growth equity markets. His acclaimed 2006 book Finding the Next Starbucks: How to Identify and Invest in the Hot Stocks of Tomorrow (Penguin Group) details Michael's investment process and philosophy which he's refined over more than two decades in the investment community. A business best-seller, Finding the Next Starbucks has gone through three printings in five languages and been lauded for its insights into investing in premier emerging growth companies.
Prior to starting GSV, Michael co-founded and served as chairman and CEO of ThinkEquity Partners, an asset management and investment banking firm focusing on venture capital, entrepreneurial and emerging growth companies. Before ThinkEquity, he held positions as Head of Global Growth Research at Merrill Lynch and Head of Growth Research and Strategy at Montgomery Securities.
S. Sivakumar is the Chief Executive Officer of Brand Capital, the investment arm of Bennett, Coleman & Co. Ltd or the Times Group. He also dons the hat of the Head of Strategy & Innovation for the Group. Sivakumar or ‘Siva’ as he is commonly known, has been with the Times Group for over 25 years playing a pivotal role in all its new business initiatives like internet, radio, and OOH ventures; he is also on the board of some of these companies. Prior to setting up and incubating Brand Capital, he held multiple responsibilities with the Group ranging from finance, strategy, mergers & acquisitions, business development to facilitating the setup of new businesses under the Times umbrella.

Ganesh is a successful serial entrepreneur with four successful green field ventures and exits.
His last venture, TutorVista was acquired by US and UK listed education leader Pearson for $ 213 MM. He was among the top 5 nominees for the Economic Times Entrepreneur of the year 2012 Award.
His current venture, Portea Medical, provides technlogy-led home health care to the Indian consumer.
He actively mentors, incubates and funds start-ups and is promoter of several Indian consumer Internet and ecommerce companies including Bigbasket.com – India’s largest eGrocery company, Bluestone.com – leading online jewelry company, Avagmah.com – India’s fastest growing online education company, Food tech company, FreshMenu and HomeLane - India’s leading end to end, vertically integrated interior design and manufacturing provider which has delivered more than 1000 projects delivered across the country. In addition, his angel investments include little eye labs (acquired by Facebook in Jan 2014), overcart.com delyver.com (acquired by BigBasket in 2015), onlineprasad.com, Pokkt, SilverPush, DogSpot and Oximity.
Previously, Ganesh founded and was the chairman of data analytics BPO firm Marketics until March 2007, when the company was acquired by NYSE-listed WNS for $ 63 MM.
His previous venture, CustomerAsset, was started in mid-2000 and later acquired by ICICI (NYSE listed, India’s largest bank) and is now publicly listed in India as First Source Solutions.
In 1990, he founded his first company - IT&T, one of India’s top multi-vendor IT service and support company. The business was acquired by iGate (a listed company) in 2003.
Ganesh has also worked as the CEO of Wipro/Bharti British Telecom – a British Telecom JV in India, and held a senior management position in HCL Ltd.
He is also a popular speaker in entrepreneurship, start-up and technology events. He has been recognized as one of the "Iconic Entrepreneurs of India" in a document published by National Knowledge Commission, Government of India.
He serves as a member of Board of Governors of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Ganesh is a post-graduate from the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta, and has a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi University.
Saurabh Srivastava is one of India’s leading entrepreneurs and institution builders, widely acknowledged in India and globally, as one of the architects of the Indian IT Industry and as leading the creation of a vibrant entrepreneurial eco system in India. In March last year PM Narendra Modi presented him an Award for contribution to the Indian IT Industry and in January this year the Indian Government awarded him the Padma Shri.
He co-founded and Chaired key institutions of modern India focussed on entrepreneurship: NASSCOM; Indian Venture Capital Association; TiE New Delhi NCR (also served 5 years on the Global Board); Indian Angel Network (now arguably the world’s largest investor group with 100 portfolio companies, 350 investor members globally and 7 chapters). At the UK government’s invitation IAN’s chapter was launched in London at 10 Downing Street by PM David Cameron, with 4 cabinet Ministers present.
After working for IBM and Tata Unisys in the US and India, Saurabh became a highly successful serial entrepreneur, founding several successful IT companies. One was ranked amongst the top 20 Indian software companies and, post merger, listed as Xansa on the London Stock Exchange with revenues of approx.. US $ 800 mill till it was acquired by Steria. Saurabh now Chairs Steria in India.
He is a doyen of entrepreneurship and angel/VC investments. He has been involved in investing in around 100 start-ups and has personally mentored hundreds of entrepreneurs. He founded and chaired India’s first private sector VC Fund- Infinity, which created companies like IndiaBulls, India Games and and Avendus. He was adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship at IIT Bombay, on the board of Incubation Cell of IIT Delhi and is on the board of the Entrepreneurship/ Innovation Cell at IIT Kanpur.
At the forefront of public service, constantly striving to help create a positive environment for start ups and entrepreneurship in India, he has served on virtually every Committee set up by government to look at different aspects of start ups and entrepreneurship in India : The National Innovation Council, Committee to Examine the Financial Structure of the MSME Sector, Telecom Centre of Excellence, SEBI Committee on Alternative Investment Funds, Bombay Stock Exchange Hi-Tech Advisory Panel, Investment Committee of the Government’s India Aspiration Fund of Funds and the National Expert Advisory Committee on Innovation, Incubation and Technolgy Entrepreneurship. He is on the board of CSIR Tech Ltd(set up by the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research to commercialise its technologies) and Media lab Asia (Deity).
He is a co founder of Ashoka University and serves/has served on the Advisory Boards of Imperial College Business School, London and Uttarakhand and Himachal Universities in India. He has a Masters from Harvard University and a B Tech from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur. Awards include “Distinguished Alumnus Award” from IIT, the Data Quest (Indian IT Industry’s Oscars) Lifetime Achievement Award, an Honorary Doctorate in Technology from the University of Wolverhampton, UK, and Awards from TiE, LMA and other organizations.

I'm currently Chairman of Global Education Learning, dedicated to teaching young children in Asia ,2-7, a variety of subjects by utilizing technology and delivering the content in many different ways.
As the former CEO of LeapFrog, Knowledge Universe, Sega, Matchbox, and Mattel, I've had the opportunity to work in two Fortune 500 Companies with wonderful people in building some of the best known brands for kids and teens (Barbie, Hot Wheels, See N' Say, Masters of the Universe, Matchbox, Sega Genesis, Sonic the Hedgehog, LeapFrog, etc). I believe in hiring the best people, having a common vision, developing strategies others can't easily copy, defeating competition, and growing a business rapidly.
I'm also on the board of Cambium Learning (NASDAQ: ABCD) a company that has curriculum for children with special learning needs and which also helps turn-around troubled schools. I'm also on the board of the Woodrow Wilson Foundation,dedicated to helping teachers improve education

Bonny Simi is a JetBlue pilot and officer with over a decade of leadership experience holding talent, customer experience and other roles at JetBlue, and over 25 years in the airline industry. Simi also has deep roots in the Silicon Valley community as a graduate of both the Stanford Business and Engineering schools. Prior to her airline and venture career, Ms. Simi was a writer-reporter-producer for the ABC KGO-TV evening news in San Francisco, and is a three-time Olympian.
